I have been blogging for my day job and my kids' sport associations and teams for about two years now.  During that time, I have thought about creating a personal and hobby blog that would give a forum for existing and new friends who share common interest to meet.

Why Discursive Discourse:  My motivation for the creation of this blog is to discuss topics of interest, web technologies that I have found beneficial, and experiment and learn new things.  Just as importantly, this site is not about selling my business services or focused on my current day job.  These motivations will lead to the discussions many disjoint topical themes and one off posts.

With these motivations in mind, you can see it moving from topic to topic without order (discursive) with each post or series of post, hopefully, an orderly extended expression of thought on a subject (discourse).

The Journey:  Much like the Wayback Machine highlights the development of the Internet since 1996, this blog will highlight a journey of never ending learning of myself, and hopefully others.  Many individuals start blogging with the specific intent to make money online or sell affiliate links.  While a noble goal, that is not the intent on this site.  This site is about a journey of community learning and exploration that never ends.

Look around, stay awhile, leave a insightful comment, and come back often.
